The summer blooms are bright cerise pink offset with golden stamens and are followed by big fat red hips. Nice sweet fragrance. Robust and vigorous. 1950.

Very fragrant, large, fully double blooms of pure white (with just the occasional blush) open from buds that are covered in soft green 'moss'. A lovely rose that will perform best if protected from harsh afternoon sun. Prune immediately after the summer flowering if required. 1788.

Bourbon. Discovered in Ireland and named after the famous garden near Dublin where it was growing. This almost single rose has delicate pearly pink petals and a gentle sweet fragrance. Quite delightful in full flower. Repeats well and is a reliable performer. 1950.

aka Yellow Dagmar Hastrup Rugosa Hybrid. A very pretty little rose that is AKA 'Yellow Dagmar Hastrup'. The blooms are loosely cupped with curved petals in a delicate primrose yellow shade. Attractive prominent deep yellow stamens and a strong fruity fragrance. Generally robust and healthy and repeats well. 1987 PVR.

aka AKA Black Jack Gallica. A tall growing rose with branches that have a slightly lax habit. The blooms are large, very fragrant and loosely double in a deep magenta shade that fades to violet as the bloom ages. Abundant with bloom mainly in summer. From Luxembourg 1856.

aka Kazanlink Damask. A very ancient rose used extensively in Bulgaria for attar of roses. This automatically tells us that the perfume is deliciously delightful i.e. this rose is very fragrant! The blooms are somewhat shaggy, double and shaded a warm pink. Spring flowering. From the Middle East -pre 1700.

Gallica. An upright rose that is a natural 'sport' from rose 'Tuscany'. The strong stems have few thorns and the dark crimson flowers are very strongly scented. Gallica. The reputation and popularity of this lovely old fashioned rose are well deserved. The globular dark red buds open to rich purple sweetly scented flowers of a velvety texture. Mainly summer flowering. Abundant dark green foliage and very few thorns. 1840. Deciduous
Cardinal de Richelieu We are not expecting to have this plant in 2026 Bourbon. Firstly, this Rose has nothing to do with Vince Martin! Originating from France in 1874 it grows into a tall shrub that flowers abundantly in summer. The blooms are beautifully fragrant, fully double, globular and rose pink with splashes of deep carmine. Commandant Beaurepaire We are not expecting to have this plant in 2026 Portland. A unusual rose with grey green foliage and large flowers of rich warm pink that emit a heady fragrance. The continuously produced flowers are excellent for cutting. Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Truly lovely and a reliable performer. 1863.
